Susanne Leitz-Lorey

Susanne Leitz-Lorey studied Voice at the Conservatory of Music in Stuttgart (Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart). After completing her degree in 1988, she continued her studies at the Opera School, completing this advanced program in 1991.

Participation in courses by Eugen Rabine, Judith Beckmann, Barbara Schlick and Ingrid Figur supplement her education. Since then she has been active as a concert singer, working with Helmuth Rilling, Ingo Metzmacher, Hans Zender and Manfred Schreier, among others. Her repertoire includes all the major oratorio roles, CD productions, radio recordings, and opera productions. Susanne Leitz-Lorey is also devoted to the art of Lied.

She has been a member of the Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart since 1991 and dedicates much of her time to contemporary music.
