Claudia Pérez Iñesta completed a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature at the University of Barcelona and earned her PhD in the same field at the University of Potsdam. In 2016, she founded the »Music and Literature« seminar at the University of Potsdam. Additionally, she studied piano, cello, and dance in Spain, studied piano chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold, and completed her studies in art song composition at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Karlsruhe.

Claudia Pérez Iñesta lives in Berlin, where she balances her career as a pianist with writing. Her work as a librettist for the opera »L’Apocalypse arabe« by Samir Odeh-Tamimi was premiered in 2021 at the Festival International d’Art Lyrique d’Aix-en-Provence with the Ensemble Modern and director Pierre Audi. Her second libretto, »Philoktet,« for Samir Odeh-Tamimi’s music theatre composition, was premiered in 2023 at the Festival ECLAT in Stuttgart with the Neue Vocalsolisten and the Zafraan Ensemble.

As a song pianist, chamber musician, and solo pianist, she has performed at renowned international festivals (Festival International de Granada, Zermatt Festival, and many more). In addition to numerous pianistic and chamber music successes, she won first prize at the »Jeunesses Musicales Chamber Music Competition.« She worked as a répétiteur in the vocal class at the HfM Karlsruhe and at the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg. Claudia Pérez Iñesta creates her own projects and has been invited as a pianist by ensembles such as the Zafraan Ensemble, the Dance Company Unterwegstheater, and Neopercusión. Collaborations with composers such as Jesús Torres, Joan Albert Amargos, Sergio Blardony, Jörg Widmann, Dimitri Papageorgiou, Charlotte Seither, and Samir Odeh-Tamimi led the artist to explore new music. In 2019, she performed as a resident pianist at the Delian Festival and the Academy for New Music in Mykonos. In 2019, she performed as a harpsichordist and pianist at the »Cembalo und andere Tasten« festival at the Akademie der Künste in Berlin. After various masterclasses in Latin America, Denmark, and Germany, she was a lecturer in the Interdisciplinary Arts course »Cursodealbarracin« (Spain) from 2015 to 2019.
