(2013/2014)His works have been commissioned and performed by numerous ensembles, leading festivals, and contemporary music series in over 40 countries worldwide, as well as broadcast by several national radio stations around the globe. He has received over 35 composition prizes, scholarships, and awards in competitions, including the Royal Philharmonic Society Award (England), the Irino Prize (Japan), first prize at the Andrés Segovia Competition (Spain), the Look and Listen Prize (USA), second prize at the Concours Dutilleux (France), and many others. His research work has been recognised with awards such as a DAAD and a Fulbright scholarship. His works have been performed by leading ensembles and specialists in new music, including Ensemble Modern, Klangforum Wien, Neue Vocalsolisten, the Arditti, KAIROS, and Prometeo string quartets, Ensemble Nomad, Het Collectief, Les Percussions de Strasbourg; orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Holland Symfonia, the Orchestra of Opera North, and the Athens Symphony Orchestra; soloists such as Peter Sheppard Skærved, David Alberman, Alan Thomas, and Rohan de Saram; and conductors including Christoph Poppen, Elgar Howarth, Kasper de Roo, and Franck Ollu.
